Sarah Marks Paredes

Executive Director, Atonement Christian Day School

Sarah Marks Paredes, a Barrington area resident for over 40 years, has been actively involved as an educator, administrator, parent, and coach. For the past 20 years, Sarah has served the Barrington and adjacent communities in many roles, most recently as the Programs Coordinator and After School and E-Learning Programs Director in Barrington. She brings with her many years of experience in the pre-K-12 educational setting both in the private and public sector as a classroom teacher, administrator and coach to both special needs students and advanced academic students.

Sarah is a highly enthusiastic, energetic and positive individual. Her passion lies in creating a nurturing and fun environment for both students and staff. Sarah looks forward to partnering with staff in offering experiences which support each child’s growth and development. She is extremely excited to be a member of the Lutheran Atonement Day School Team to work alongside a group of dedicated, imaginative and resilient individuals.

As the mother of 5 children ranging from 6 – 19 years of age, Sarah enjoys traveling with her children and supporting their athletic endeavors.

Tim Housholder

Pastor, Atonement Lutheran Church

Pastor Tim came to Atonement in July of 2022. Prior to ordination in 1996, he was a Youth Director for six years; and, as a pastor, has led churches of 2,000 to 4,000 members. He received his B.A. from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota; and his Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Pastor Tim serves as Senior Pastor, and welcomes the opportunity to partner with staff and members to live out Atonement's mission. His passions for ministry are in preaching, teaching, adult ministries, administration, and intergenerational ministries. He is energized in ministry when others grow in faith, and embrace God's unconditional grace and love in their lives.

Pastor Tim's previous church had a preschool with over 250 students, and he enjoys participating in ACDS events and Children's Chapel.

He is married to Kathy, and they have two children: A.J. and Lauryn. He enjoys sports, music, travel, and cooking.

Meet the Finance Director

Dawn Patten

Finance Director, Atonement Lutheran Church

Dawn Patten is the Financial Director for the Church and School. She makes sure all bills are paid and receipts are recorded and deposited.

She also is the Director of Sunday School, serving children from 3 years old to 5th grade.

Dawn is married to Dan, and they have two children, Mikayla and Josh. She loves reading, swimming, and crafting in her spare time.
